The Rebel Cafe, aka. Linda’s Place, is a diner in Toccoa, Ga with hot foods like Pancakes, Club Sandwiches, and Burgers. They are also known for their Traditional Wings. With a local place like Linda’s Place, they only serve two types of Wings: Spicy Buffalo and Lemon Pepper.
At first glance, being a wing connoisseur of sorts, and only seeing two flavors while they were both a dry rub, I was slightly disappointed. Nevertheless, I grabbed a soda, ordered the Traditional Spicy Buffalo Wings and waited. The wait wasn’t that long since they dropped them almost immediately. After receiving the dish, it was time.
At first glance, The smell had me hooked. The fresh smell of the wings with the smell of buffalo was making me hungry. I sunk my teeth into the first bite, and there was a nice crunch on the crust, and the flavor was intense kick since it seemed liked they used a buffalo batter for the wings. The meat itself wasn’t too special, it was a nice and simple wing other than the crust. I have went back multiple times since taking notes and it has always been spot on to the original. Overall, it is definitely worth at least trying once, and if you’re a fan of spice, this just might be the new place for you.
Overall I have to give Linda’s Place a 7.8/10. I am definitely going back in my spare time for more wings, and I’ll definitely post what I think of the Lemon Pepper after I go back to try them. This is The Spice Critic, signing off.
